Intro

I’m going to start you off with an explanation for whatever the hell I’m talking about when I say “Trench”.

Trench is an album released by the musical duo Twenty One Pilots (stylized as twenty øne piløts) in October 2018.

I don’t want to go into the whole discovery of it, but long story short there’s this SICK website called dmaorg.info (first URL at the bottom). If you go to the website, though, you’ll get a weird-ass error message that sounds like it was written by a random guy who’s trying to escape some people. It is.

The text under the “404 ER_ROR” has weird spacing and capitalization, and if you take all the capitalized letters and put them together, you get “EAST IS UP” I’ll say more on this later.

There’s another website (second URL) that you can get to if you type “/found/” then the ‘violation code’ from the original website, then “/clancy.php” into the search bar. This website is even weirder.

It consists of 7 notes from a guy named Clancy, 3 GIFS, 6 strange images, and 2 other things. Each item has a label above it, with the top one being “019 01MOON 22” and the bottom one being “988 06MOON 18”. If you remove the “MOON” from each one and add either 1 or 2 before the three numbers at the beginning, you’ll get a date.

I’m going to have my discoveries, decodings, and connections for each item in a different blog post, and once I’m done with those I’ll post my discoveries, decodings, and connections for each song off the album (including for the official music videos/official audio videos).

See you next time,

–Abi
